Living Broke

I have been living my life for the past few months totally broke. I even had to get emergency assistance from the state to help with my power bill. I just hate having to ask for anything from anyone, but what can you do when you are unemployed with no income coming in? I do not get unemployment because I work for myself and that is really hurting me right now!

Blue Cross In North Carolina

I went and checked my mail the other day and I got a letter from Blue Cross Blue Shield North Carolina. I had no idea why they would be sending me a letter. I live in Alabama so I know I didn’t have a bill with them. Sure enough it was a bill. I called them and told them I didn’t even live their so how would I have a bill? They said it must have been a mix up and they would take care of it. Thank goodness because it is a really high bill.

Screening For Employment

When you are getting ready to hire someone you want to make sure that they are upfront and honest and the best way to do this is to put them through an employment screening process. I would personally get some background checks done, especially if they are working with money. It is good to make sure you can trust someone before you hire them!

Health Savings Accounts

With the way the economy is now its hard to say whether or not we will have the money for future heath care. My husband and I started a health savings account. This will insure we always have money put aside as a just in case back up. I think it was a wise decision and would recommend other people doing it as well. It may not seem important now but in the future it could be you lifeline.

Weight Loss Supplements

I was looking on the internet for a weight loss supplement that would work for me. I had a lot of different choices and it was really hard to choose witch one to start with. I decided to go with the one that had the most and best reviews. I didn’t find the right one right away but when I did I loved the results.

Pink Is The New Manly

I saw a little boy the other day wearing a pink shirt that said something like only real men wear pink and it made me giggle. I think that pink actually works well for a lot of guys, but since it has a stigmata of being a girl color a lot of men will not wear it, and it is sad. I saw a guy who had multiple pink ties and he looked really nice with them on!

SAT Preperation Is Important!

Having good test scores can really make your college education an even better experience with more funding and being able to attend the colleges that are at the top of your list. A good way to get a good score is to take sat prep courses and you can take these courses with www.Knewton.com. If I had to do it all over again I would definitely get into classes to help me to get a better SAT score.

Going Green Study

This semester in school I decided to get my science credit out of the way and take an Ecology class. The first day of class the instructor told us about how we will be participating in a green study. We will have to take one full week and try as hard as we can to conserve everything we can. If we can afford to, we must buy eco-friendly products. After we spend the week “going green” we must report back on our findings. I am NOT looking forward to this study. Don’t get me wrong, I love Mother Earth as much as any average person, but I can’t stand some of those Eco-friendly products! I won’t have a problem recycling, but I will have a problem remembering to turn off all the lights!

Feeling Secure In Bad Places

Living in fear is not actually living at all. I was broken into a couple of times while I was living in my last house and I hated coming home every day wondering if my house had been broken into again. Being broken into just messes with your general peace of mind, and it is not good. This is why I have been thinking about getting an ADT security system for my house. I want to feel more secure when I leave my house. I have not even gone on a long vacation in awhile because I am so afraid to leave my house. Even all of the small businesses in my neighborhood have some kind of small business security system because they are afraid too because the neighborhood keeps going further downhill.
