The drug is the first FDA-approved antibiotic of the ketolide class, and the FDA has concluded that the drugs’ benefit to patients for the approved indications outweighs its risk. Following an internal FDA memo reporting that Ketek has been linked to 12 cases of liver failure and 4 deaths, French drug manufacturer Sanofi-Aventis confirmed on May 19 that it was in discussion with the USDA about its antibiotic Ketek after the USDA wanted a warning label put on the drug.Patients on Ketek should be vigilant, and watch for these signs and symptoms of liver failure: fatigue, malaise, loss of appetite, nausea, yellow skin and dark-colored urine.
If you or a loved one have suffered from the dangerous side effects of Ketek, you should consider receiving a free legal evaluation from an experienced injury lawyer.

A lot of lawyers will gladly take your personal injury cases with the stipulation that you will give them a cut of your settlement. This is a good route to take if you do not have enough money for a lawyer upfront, which happens often because lawyers can be kind of expensive.
The thing is most of the time when they do take a part of your settlement it ends up being quite a big cut, so if you can afford a lawyer right away that is the better way to go.

Here are a few silly old laws from Texas:
It is illegal to take more than three sips of beer at a time while standing.
It is illegal for one to shoot a buffalo from the second story of a hotel.
A recently passed anti-crime law requires criminals to give their victims 24 hours notice, either orally or in writing, and to explain the nature of the crime to be committed.
It is illegal to sell one’s eye.
I just always think those silly laws are hilarious. Leave me comments with other silly laws that you have about your own state!

Dr. Jan Adams has “multiple convictions for alcohol-related offenses,” medical board executive director David Thornton said in his complaint charging Adams with violating the Medical Practice Act. He has settled malpractice suits in the past as well. This is coming from the news of Kanye West’s mother’s death the day after she got plastic surgery from Dr. Jan Adams. Coincidence? Probably not.

Albert Snyder of York, Pennsylvania, sued the Westboro Baptist Church after members demonstrated at the March 2006 funeral of his son, Lance Cpl. Matthew Snyder, who was killed in Iraq. On Wednesday the church was ordered to pay 10.9 million to the father for what they had done at his son’s funeral. I remember when this hit the news, I was shocked that this church would disturb a family on one of their worst days. The award is worth more than the church itself, so the church will be forced to ‘go out of business’ and I think that is great!

When people actually go into these drug treatment centers they stick to the plan they end up coming out feeling and looking a lot better. I cannot imagine being addicted to something so bad that I let it ruin my life. Drugs are not the only thing people get addicted to though, there is also like gambling and things of that nature, that would be awful too!

A suburban police officer is accused of leaving a police dog in a patrol car for more than 12 hours on a 109-degree day, killing the animal. Everyone knows that you are not supposed to leave an animal in a hot car, especially for 12 hours. This guy must be a real winner, if I was a cop I would arrest people that did this with their dogs, and he IS a cop. This is very sad indeed, those cop dogs are so awesome, and they are not cheap to train either. What an ass.

The RB for Penn State football Austin Scott has been accused for meeting a girl off campus and raping her. “The interaction he had with the woman involved was consensual, and we anticipate we will be able to prove that in court,” his lawyer, Joseph Amendola, said. The football player admits that she did not want to have sex at first, but then later changed her mind. Innocent until proven guilty, I am curious to see how this case turns out.
