Good lawyers know the law, great lawyers know the judge.  That is one of the best lawyer tips that I have ever heard.  The judge really does have reign over the final decision and you can find what appeals to him/her so that you can help along the outcome of a case.  When I read this it really made sense.  I would always make sure to know the judges in my area if I were a lawyer.
